April 3, 2023: Grande shares a tribute to her 'Wicked' costars on an Instagram post
Daily Mail reports that Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater were seen kissing before the Spongebob star had broken things off with his wife, Lilly Jay. “They were sloppy on set,” a source says, claiming they were together long before the world found out. “
Ariana and Ethan weren’t careful,” Us reports. “They’d hold hands on set in between takes. They were sloppy and not hiding it.”
“They were seen being all over each other while he was still supposedly happily married to Lilly.” The source continues, “They were seen making out at a pub in Hampstead, and they were all over each other at Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar party [in March].”

March 9, 2024: Only a day after dropping her new album, Grande shares an open letter asking fans to stop sending “hateful messages” to the people in her life who may have inspired the lyrics, after fans send hate mail towards Ariana’s ex, Dalton Gomez.
“Hi, I just wanted to say anyone that is sending hateful messages to the people in my life based on your interpretation of this album is not supporting me and is absolutely doing the polar opposite of what I would ever encourage (and is also entirely misinterpreting the intention behind the music),” the pop star wrote via her Instagram Stories."
A source close to Lilly told the Daily Mail that, "Ariana’s new album just shows what kind of woman she truly is. To sing a song called 'The Boy Is Mine' is not only a slap in the face to his still wife Lilly, but a slap in the face to all women."
The source added that, "As Lilly said from the get-go, Ariana is not a girl’s girl and Ethan’s family is collateral damage. Ariana basically rubbed it in Lilly’s face that she stole Ethan from Lilly then asks her fans to not interpret her song the wrong way. This is not an interpretation. It is her literal words."
"Ariana left nothing up to interpretation," the insider claimed. "She spelled it out and those close to Lilly believe she did this because she is upset that Ethan’s divorce is still dragging out. She wants him all to herself and feels that—because he is still legally married—she cannot truly have him. June 5, 2024: Ariana’s brother, Frankie, opens up about Ethan. While attending Gurus Magazine’s #30Voices30Days launch party in Los Angeles, Frankie Grande opens up to TooFab about Slater.
“I love him, he’s a very sweet guy. I've been a fan of him ever since seeing him in SpongeBob [the musical],” the Big Brother alum begins. “And I got to interview him when I was doing the SpongeBob SquarePants podcast. And the Broadway community is a tight-knit family.”
He then comments on Ethan’s relationship with Ariana. “He’s a great guy. Ethan’s a wonderful guy,” Frankie says. “He’s very sweet. He’s very, very, very sweet. I just, I adore him. Honestly I’ve always just said this, all I want is for my sister to be happy, and when she’s happy I’m happy. So, I’m very happy.”

Ethan seems to be enjoying his newfound fame. This relationship has really brought him into the spotlight, which he seemingly enjoys. Here is a video of him signing autographs in New York City.
Sources have also claimed that Ethan Slater and his wife Lilly Jay are still in constant contact because they want to co-parent their son together.
Ethan Slater appearently really wants his divorce to Lilly Jay to get finalized so that he could 'have the option to propose' to Ariana Grande.
In 2012, Jai Brooks accused Ariana of cheating on him with Nathan Sykes. Ariana said he was just trying to make her look bad. She did date Nathan, but then went back to Jai, and then went back to Nathan again.
In March 2013, Mac Miller had been dating Nomi Leasure since 2009. Mac recorded a song and music video with Ariana ("The Way") and Nomi announced they broke up shortly after. Mac shut down rumors that it had to do with Ariana because "That’s the homie. She’s got a boyfriend and everything."
